Kristin Cheung is a fundraiser and arts administrator with 10+ years of experience working in arts and non-profits. Born and raised in amiskwaciwâskahikan territory (also known as Edmonton), she now lives and works on the traditional, unceded traditional territory of the Katzie, Semiahmoo, Kwantlen First Nations, also known as Surrey.
Kristin is passionate about working with and supporting the work for under-represented communities and has volunteered and fundraised for numerous culturally diverse nonprofits in Vancouver and Edmonton. She’s previously worked at Pivot Legal Society, VIFF, Contemporary Art Gallery, Gateway Theatre, Ricepaper magazine and Geist magazine. She co-founded ‘The Future is you and me’, a free community mentorship program for young women of colour in the arts. ‘The Future’ aims to build a community of artists and leaders with an intersectional feminist lens.
She has a Masters in Arts Administration & Cultural Policy from Goldsmiths University of London and spends her free time as a Board member at Centre A and Room magazine.

Mary-Anne McAllister
She/her/hers | Programs Manager
Mary-Anne McAllister is a creative and cultural producer from South Africa with 5 years’ experience working in the arts sector. She now lives and works on the unceded territories of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, also known as Vancouver. Her work is focussed on building collaborative networks to help cultivate a space of growth and opportunity for young creatives. Her practice includes creative producing, fine arts and curatorial work. She has an Honours Degree in Fine Art from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.
She has worked on many national and international collaborative community driven projects, programmes, and art exhibitions. She had also shown her own work as an exhibiting artist in South Africa. Her most recent collaborative work was as the co-producer of POWER TALKS Durban (2022) - supported by the Goethe Institut, curated and co-hosted by African Centre for Cities, and produced by Contemporary Archive Project, across three cities in South Africa.

Kaya Kurz
She/her/hers | Programs Coordinator
Kaya is a vocalist and songwriter based in Burnaby, BC with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Capilano University. As a queer woman of colour, she values equity and diversity, and strives to create inclusive spaces in the Vancouver music scene. Past performances include the Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival, Powell Street Festival, and Fridays on Front.
Additionally, Kaya served as a board member for the Women in Jazz Association of BC from 2017-2021, and worked collaboratively to organize and present a 6-session digital workshop series for marginalized musicians impacted by Covid-19.
She loves her two cats, and consumes large amounts of earl grey tea daily.

Sammy Chan
She/her/hers | Artist Development Assistant
Sammy Chan is a dedicated arts management specialist from Hong Kong with extensive hands-on experience in organizing exhibitions, community art projects, and marketing communications. Her expertise spans various sectors, including museums, art associations, and social enterprises. Currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Contemporary Arts at Simon Fraser University, Sammy's research interests include the intersection between art and faith, particularly Christianity and contemporary visual arts, cross-cultural identities, social diversity, and ecological arts.
Sammy is passionate about developing innovative initiatives to promote creativity and social diversity. Her previous working experience with marginalized communities, especially artists with disabilities in Hong Kong, has profoundly shaped her perspective on social innovation and sustainability. She envisions the transformative power of creativity and is dedicated to advocating for strategies that recognize and celebrate the talents and voices of individuals.
As an Asian woman, recent immigrant, and mother of a toddler, Sammy has firsthand insight into the challenges and opportunities of navigating cultural adjustments and language barriers. These experiences drive her commitment to fostering inclusive environments where diversity is honored, and every individual is valued.
Annika Walsh

Annika Walsh is an emerging transdisciplinary artist who works with food, cooking, and everything in between to further the notion of connectedness and togetherness. They utilize all things food to create and inform relational and embodied ways of knowing through their experience based work. Annika completed a BFA with a specialization in Media Arts at the University of Ottawa in 2022. Currently working on a Masters of Science in Integrated Studies in Land and Food Systems at the University of British Columbia, their research seeks to investigate the ways in which Chinese-Canadian adoptees' relationship with food influences their feelings of identity, connection, and belonging.
Madeleine Polak
she/her | Stage Manager
Madeleine Polak (she/her) is a lover of emerging new theatre, name brand sharpies, iced oat lattes, and colour-coded spreadsheets. She’s a queer theatre maker & manager based in Vancouver, where she is in her fourth and final year of the UBC BFA Design and Production program. A firm believer in wearing multiple hats within the industry, Madeleine is active as both a stage manager and costume designer, as well as a fledgling director.
As a stage manager, Madeleine sees well organized spreadsheets as their own artform. She has previously worked with Theatre Terrific on their 2024 Harvest production, ‘Proximity’ and with local queer rock-band ‘Hot Dyke Party’ during their original performance run.
Current creative endeavors include costume design for UBC Theatre’s 'The Very Book Indeed' and assistant direction for UBC Musical Theatre Troupe’s 'Heathers', both opening in November.
