As an expansion of XINEMA’s eight program COSMIC QUEERITIES, with guest programmer Rae Grant Duff, this workshop was able to host the collaborative workshop series: “COSMIC QUEERITIES: An Analogue Film Crash Course and Queer Conversation Hub” with EPFC North. Leading a group of ten queer youth through film examples and prompt led conversations, these conversations moved towards the application and use of Super8 cameras, eco-process film, and engaged in handmade cinema processes. These helped build the creation of individual participant films that were showcased at the end of the workshop series in an open community screening. Films that surrounded the themes of personal and collective queer experiences.
