Year of the Snake – Come make a lantern and eco-arts sculpture for Winter Solstice and Lunar New Year

September 20, 2012 by CACV Admin

Lunaria or money or honesty plant – after seeds have dispersed.

We’ll make a lantern head from lunaria (silver dollar plant, honesty or money plant). This is the time of year to harvest these, and we’ll need lots. Please save them for us. If you’re not sure what this plant is, read up on it here.

Jacquie Rolston is the artist who will be coordinating the lantern project.
Groups will be invited to make part of the snake’s body from ivy or other invasive material and stripes from recycled plastic. If you’d like to participate, contact us eco-arts@cacv.ca
